Help Out After Katrina

It’s very important that in this time of suffering in the U.S. after Hurricane Katrina, that we all pitch in to help our neighbors. Think of the thousands that now have nothing, then think of something major you can do without this month, then stop by the Salvation Army and donate what you can. If you can’t give money, consider giving some of your time. They are looking for people to come aid in the area hit by the disaster, or even just people to organize collections for goods in their own area. As an example, we are gathering donations of bottled water in our town and will have these picked up by the Salvation Army. Non-perishable goods are needed for everything from toothpaste and deodorant to napkins. Anoher great place to make a donation is Catholic Charities.
